Full Range of Services: We offer both reconstructive surgery and elective cosmetic surgery. We also offer laser treatments and other aesthetic much of which can be completed in under an hour with no downtime necessary.
Flexible Hours: We offer extended hours to make booking before and after work appointments possible for our patients.
Seamless Service: From check-in to check-out, we take total care of you. We have a care coordinator and a surgical scheduler on staff, guaranteeing there are no mistakes or gaps in service.
Collaboration & Convenience: As part of Central Maine Healthcare, we work with many practices and centers also within the system. If you’ve been referred from other service lines such as our Breast Care Center, Ear, Nose & Throat or Orthopedics, we will collaborate with their team members to schedule your reconstructive surgery, scar revision or other needs.
Patient Information: Central Maine Healthcare’s Plastic Surgery Department wants to keep you informed every step of the way. Below, we’ve compiled a list of useful information as a starting point. If you have any additional questions, please contact us at 207-795-6543.
Appointments: We kindly ask that each patient be on time for their scheduled appointment.
Cancellations: If you cannot make your scheduled appointment, please call at least 24 hours before to cancel and reschedule. This allows us to adjust our care provider’s schedule and allow access to others who may have been anticipating an appointment. If you must cancel on the day of the appointment because of an emergency, please call our office as soon as possible. Failure to notify us of a cancellation of your appointment is considered a missed appointment. Repeat missed appointments will result in discharge from the practice.
Payment for Services: Payment and/or co-pay is expected at the time of service. If applicable, we will submit your bill to your insurer. Please bring your insurance card to every appointment. If an insurance claim is submitted, you will receive a bill indicating the balance due from you after the claim is processed. Please be sure to immediately notify the Patient Financial Services office of any insurance change by calling 207-795-2237.
Prescriptions: Prescription refill requests must be placed Monday – Thursday between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. and Friday between 8 a.m. and noon. When possible, please call the office when you have one week of medication left. Otherwise, please contact the office and allow at least two business days for the nurse and the care provider to process the request. The office will contact you only if there are questions about your request.
After Hours Calls: If your medical need is urgent and cannot wait until the office opens, patients may reach the on-call care provider by calling 207-795-6543. The answering service will page the provider and have them return your call. Please unblock your phone line to allow the physician to call you back. The on-call care provider will not take non-urgent after hour calls regarding refills or appointments.
Release of Information to A Spouse or Family Member: Patient confidentiality laws require you to sign a release before your care provider can talk with your spouse, family member or anyone else about your care. If you would like to have such a release sent to you, please contact us.
Medical Records: A signed authorization release is required for the release of any medical records. We do whatever is necessary to ensure the privacy of our patients. If you are transferring from another provider’s office, please have your medical records forwarded to our office. We reserve the right to charge a fee for copying of medical records.
Patient Satisfaction & Policy Regarding Cosmetic Revision: Our goal is your satisfaction. Plastic and cosmetic surgery is an art based in science. Perfection, while always the goal, is rarely achieved. We strive for the best outcomes possible, but occasionally dissatisfaction occurs. While working with you, your surgeon may recommend a revision to help achieve your ultimate goal for the procedure. Depending on the circumstances, the revision may be done at an additional cost to you. In rare cases, your surgeon may offer you a reduced or no cost revision within six months of your procedure.

A Registered Dietitian (RD) is a “food and nutrition expert” who has completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nutrition through an ASCED (Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics) accredited program. An RD also completes a 6 to12 month dietetic internship in many different settings and must pass the Commission on Dietetic Registration national exam. In order to maintain certification an RD will take continuing education courses to stay on top of the latest information available.
Our team will conduct an individualized nutritional assessment and create a plan just for you.
Nutritional Services requires a Healthcare Provider referral to meet with a Registered Dietitian. Services may or may not be covered by insurance – please check with your individual policy
Tangy Chicken Salad
Banana Blueberry Muffins
Super easy and super moist breakfast or snack choice.
Sweet Potato Nachos
Delicious entree or snack brimming with fresh vegetables.
Veggie Stuffed Peppers
This recipe is high in fiber, vitamins and minerals. Quinoa and brown rice are whole grain, high fiber food choices. The sweet bell peppers are excellent sources of vitamin C. If you choose canned vegetables & beans, look for “no added salt” options to keep this recipe low in sodium.
Chickpea Hash
This recipe is all about low-sodium ingredients and high protein. We’ve used low-sodium beans, olive oil and vegetable stock. The beans are a great source of fiber, heart healthy fats and of course, protein.
