The Arbor House is Central Maine Healthcare’s hospitality house and was built on the simple idea that nothing else should matter when you are focused on helping a family member get well.
Central Maine Medical Center opened The Arbor House in 1993. Since opening, it has relocated to a larger building, in response to the need. Thousands of patients and their loved ones have appreciated this temporary “home away from home” over the years.
The Arbor House has five bedrooms on the first floor and two-bedroom apartments on the second and third floors. The building has a common room, a fully equipped kitchen, a dining room, a library, laundry facilities, a patio and a garden. Bed linens and towels are provided. The only pets allowed are licensed therapy dogs. The library also has a computer. Residents staying there have access to the hospital cafeteria, as well.
