The Maine College of Health Professions’ (MCHP) First Annual Wellness Conference will be held on Saturday, June 17, 2017 at the MCHP building located at 70 Middle Street in Lewiston.
“MCHP is launching this conference because we want to educate students, healthcare providers, and the public about the many pathways to health. Presenters will offer interactive workshops on movement, sound, nutrition, emotional health, energy work, living with chronic illness, and many other topics. There are so many educated and experienced health practitioners in our community, and so many people looking for ways to improve their health. We hope that this conference will be the first of many opportunities for people to learn more about healthy practices,” said Meredith Kendall, MSN, RN at MCHP, author of Reiki Nurse, and conference creator.
This year’s conference features many workshops including:

Presenters include local nurses, a reverend, authors, and integrative practitioners. All nurses, students, healthcare providers, and members of the public are invited to attend.
“We are eager and proud to provide opportunities for people to learn more about some of the many ways that wellness can be pursued. The medical model is ever-changing, and this conference is a way for us to deliver some important information to our supportive community. They provide for us, and we see this as one way to return the favor!” said MCHP President Monika Bissell.
